Our center believes that children are special, growing, thinking individuals who need comfort and affection. They seek stimulation and strive to master their environment in an effort to reach their fullest potential. At Grand Tots, focus on the whole child and strive to support their cognitive, social, emotional, creative, and physical growth. We believe it is our responsibility to provide environments and experiences that capture the joys of childhood, nurture each child’s individual growth and development, and pave the way for success in school and life..
Everything we do is aimed at nurturing each child’s social, emotional, and educational needs. Our ultimate goal is not only to prepare your child for kindergarten but also to inspire a lifelong learning journey. And that’s exactly what learning is at our centers—a journey. Your child will be an active participant in their education, spending time both in enriching classrooms and outdoors exploring the world.
Each classroom is staffed with a lead teacher, a teaching assistant, and a staff-to-child ratio that ensures a great deal of one-on-one attention. All of the classrooms have sand and a water table, art materials and writing supplies, blocks and vehicles, books and puzzles, and playhouses. Each class visits the gym daily and children participate in structured and unstructured large motor activities.
The teacher’s role is to extend the children’s thinking, support their learning and physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development. Learning occurs by making observations, asking questions, offering suggestions, and providing materials and activities that will extend play. Additionally, our staff benefits from ongoing professional development, support for additional degree attainment, and classroom coaching.
“Quality is never an accident… It is always the result of high intentions, sincere effort, intelligent direction and the willingness to change directions when needed”
